The Couple's Love Story:

Austin is a very romantic guy. One Valentine’s Day he surprised me and we went to Philadelphia for the weekend. When we went to Philly, we enjoyed different restaurants, went to museums, and on the last night we had went on a horse drawn carriage ride. Everyday our love grows for each other. We are lovers, best friends, and we [root for each other] in everything we doThere wasn’t a specific moment that I knew he was

the one. It was a series of moments. One moment was when we were at the beach

and there were huge waves. No matter what wave came our way, he always lifted

me up. I never got ‘molly whopped’ by the waves.”

A Tale of Two Venues: The Cathedral of Mary our Queen and Cylburn Mansion

Discover the architectural marvel and historical significance of the Cathedral of Mary our Queen, the majestic backdrop of Austin and Chelsea's wedding ceremony. The Cathedral of Mary our Queen was consecrated in 1959 and has since become the principal place of worship for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The cathedral is named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, recognizing her as the Queen of Heaven and Earth.

The cathedral's design showcases intricate details and soaring spires, reflecting the grandeur of traditional Gothic architecture. The exterior features beautiful stone carvings, stained glass windows, and a central rose window that bathes the interior in a soft, colorful glow while the interior boasts a magnificent nave with high ceilings, pointed arches, and ornate decorations, creating a truly awe-inspiring atmosphere.

The cathedral holds a special place in the hearts of Catholics in Baltimore as a place of worship, prayer, and religious ceremonies. It serves as the seat of the Archbishop of

Baltimore and hosts significant religious events, including ordinations, special masses, and liturgical celebrations. The sacredness and spirituality of the cathedral add a unique sense of reverence and meaning to wedding ceremonies held within its walls.

Its combination of grandeur, ambiance, and historical importance makes it an exceptional wedding venue, providing couples with an unforgettable backdrop for their special day.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and serene ambiance of the Cylburn Mansion and Botanical Gardens, the perfect setting for their romantic reception. Cylburn Mansion and Arboretum, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is a remarkable venue that offers a unique and enchanting setting for an indoor winter wedding. With its historic mansion, beautiful gardens, and versatile indoor spaces, Cylburn Mansion provides a cozy and elegant backdrop for couples seeking a romantic winter celebration.

Cylburn Mansion provides various indoor spaces that can be utilized for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. The mansion's grand parlors, with their high ceilings and elegant decor, offer a sophisticated setting for exchanging vows,  while the cozy library or conservatory can serve as intimate spaces for smaller ceremonies. The mansion's indoor spaces can be decorated with winter-themed elements, such as warm lighting, candles, and seasonal floral arrangements, to create a romantic and cozy ambiance.

The grounds of Cylburn Mansion, even in winter, provide stunning backdrops for wedding photography. The historic architecture of the mansion itself serves as a timeless backdrop for elegant and memorable wedding photos.

Chelsea and Austin had a beautiful cloudy day that was calling for rain, and we were blessed with a few lucky showers early in the morning for the couple, but by the time the wedding was ready to happen, the skies were perfect for glowing photos.

A Few Words from the Couple

[We loved] the photos from us in the church as husband and wife. I loved the pictures of me in the dress. We will also treasure the photos of our family forever.

Some of our favorite memories from our wedding day was getting married! Getting married was amazing. However, our favorite memories were the last dance and the room reveal. It was great to have a private moment with just us. Also, getting to see our vision unfold with the room reveal was amazing too. It was a great day to spend time with our family and friends.

Everything was beautiful. I loved it when my dad sung [Luther Vandross’s “Dance with my Father”] to me at the reception. I loved the mother-son dance. I loved the private last dance. That was especially memorable.

Lastly, I like to ask every couple for a few words of advice for future couples getting married:

Take it all in stride. Unexpected situations or challenges are going to happen. But don’t let it ruin your mood. Remember the most important reason for the day: marrying the love of your life.
